The June Long Beach Expo set the tone of the numismatic market for
the summer. This convention began with a minor drop in the price of
gold and the continued slow economic recovery in California. In spite
of all factors some major coin news had taken place with the recent
sale of the now most valuable coin in all of US numismatics.
